Why Brad is running

Representing the full ownership community

Brad believes board service starts with listening to the people who call The Breakers home and the many owners who share the property with guests through rentals. He wants both perspectives considered in decisions that shape the community.

02A letter to owners

Why I am asking for your vote

Honoring our heritage. Preparing our future.

The Breakers has been part of my life since it was built. I have watched it grow into far more than a building or a vacation destination. It is a community where owners, whether they live here or rent their units, are welcomed like family, where generations of visiting families have made lasting memories, and where dedicated employees are essential to our success.

I am asking for your vote because I want to help preserve that heritage while preparing The Breakers for a strong and sustainable future.

Years of business and leisure travel have given me a distinctive perspective on hospitality and property management. I hold lifetime Gold status with both Marriott and Hilton, which took more than 650 nights with each, and I have spent over 1,000 more nights in hotels across the country and around the world. I have seen firsthand what works, what does not, what guests value, and how thoughtful service and sound management build loyalty.

The Breakers must keep delivering an outstanding experience for owners, rental guests, and employees. We also need creative, modern approaches that control costs without sacrificing quality. The best improvements make life better for everyone while protecting the long-term value of our property.

I bring a blend of business and technical training to that work: an MBA with a concentration in marketing, and undergraduate degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry. That background taught me to break down complex problems, weigh costs against benefits, communicate clearly, and make practical, fact-based decisions.

Board service calls for sound judgment, preparation, openness, and the willingness to address difficult issues directly and respectfully. It also calls for someone who remembers that every decision affects people, not just budgets and buildings. With your vote, I will work to preserve what makes The Breakers special while pursuing practical improvements that strengthen our community, enhance quality of life, manage costs responsibly, and position the property for continued success.

  • Insurance, risk management, and emergency preparedness
  • Clear, timely communication with owners, guests, staff, and management
  • A fair balance between resident owners, rental owners, and visiting families
  • Preserving the character, reputation, and value of The Breakers

I respectfully ask for your vote. — Brad Riley
